Playing the right salsa mix is crucial to a good night. You have to read the crowd and judge what is right . Play the wrong track and the crowd will leave early.
My Salsa set ranges from
warm up: Salsa tracks that are not more then 3 mins long. These would be slow tracks so people can practice there moves after the lesson.
First 20 mins: Easy danceable Mambo tracks
20 mins -60 mins:
Allsorts ranging from Classic Salsa to the latest salsa floorfillers , Salsa Cover Versions & Bootlegs. Cuban and on 2 Mambo Jazz Style tracks.
Also promoting home grown talent such as the latin Band Palenke and of course Alex Wilson.
1 Merengue track every 30 Mins
1 Bachata Track on the hour every hour .
