In the begining!:
Sounds of the DJ Orion !!! is known for raising the roof off at any party or club night.But how did it all start? Orion started out in the early nineties while at college studying graphics with a sound system called 2DF (Too Damm Funky) Orion went on to DJ at various parties around London with much success. Although Orion maintains that DJing is still a hobby he certainly can deliver the goods on the Night.
Many moons ago!:
During the mid nineties whist working as a youthworker (part time) orion attended college to study a part time sound engineering course to gain basic skills in the industry. In July 1996 Orion made his first track with his mate Tam (who is now part of Precision Cuts) and put it on Dubplate and got it played at a night called Spreadlove, a weekly sunday event at The Gass Club now called NYC that was the place to be. When it was played the crowd reacted pretty well and gave orion inspiration to make his own tracks, including the release of a white label (500 copies) called London Vibes in 2000 which sold out!.
In November 1995 Orion went to Work for Wandsworth Youth Service and worked with the young people like DJ Dee-Kline & MC HyperActive (www.ratrecords.info) in teaching & running DJ workshops for the community radio station which ran during the summer of 1996 and has continued to run every summer until summer 1999.

Other young people who orion had worked with were; DJ ICE who currently has a show on Deelight FM and DJ Don Juan. In December 2005 one of the last young people that orion worked with was DJ Nasher . Nasher and his crew;dangerous minds, won the kiss 100FM pirate soundclash 2005 www.totalkiss.com.
The next level:
During his years as a DJ/studio and radio broadcasting skills tutor Orion achieved quite at lot and with the help from his friend Pablo his last major project was to set up an Internet Radio Station for young people: a-12 live. During the Years of 1998 -2003 while working part time for Richmond Youth Service Orion kept a low profile since he was studying the Knowledge to become a Licensed Taxi Driver. He did however find time to DJ at The Notting Hill Carnival in 1999 & 2000 and both years had the whole of West London jumping up and down to the sounds of R&B and Funky House with his mate and close friend MC Riggsy www.salsacomes2u.co.uk

I love Djing and making tunes but as we all know unless your in the top ten of UK DJ’s or Music Producers this line of work doesn’t pay the bills!!! . Music is very important to me and I love it when I’m playing out, to play the tunes I like and what the crowd wants to hear! Also its great to see the crowd loving it, loving it, loving it!
Present Day:
When he’s not driving his taxi & playing his mix CD’s to his punters!, Orion DJ’s at various parties, clubs in London and Madrid. He also has a Residency at Throb (www.throbbing.info), playing throbbing house and enjoys playing Salsa, Club Classics & Funky House and continues to make his own tracks to play out with.
Also recently another member;dj basher who attended orion's youth club has just signed to Andy C's label and is set to release two tracks on ram records www.ramrecords.co.uk, www.myspace.com/djbasher and two other tracks on its sister label, frequency recordings.
Orion went on to work for Richmond Youth Service, again working with young people including DJ Blakey who became DMC UK Champion 2004 and came 4th in the DMC World Championships 2004 www.dmcworld.com.
